News: TAG Heuer Formula 1 Red Bull Racing Chronograph
TAG Heuer has always had a close association with the world of motorsports, and since 2015, it has served as the Official Timing Partner of the Formula 1 Red Bull Racing team. In celebration of the partnership, the team's 2016 car has been named the Red Bull Racing TAG Heuer RB12—the first time a watchmaker has been included in the official title of an F1 team.
From the manufacture’s perspective, the partnership has spurned the release of a sporty commemorative special series watch. Taking design cues from the aesthetic of the car itself, the new piece bears the F1 team’s colours: midnight blue and racing red. Engineered for motorsport, the piece is a chronograph, and features a striking tachymeter scale in matte blue aluminium.
The chrono is available in two variations, one with a classic steel bracelet, and the other crafted from state-of-the-art technical textile. The strap features red stitching reminiscent of the seat belts of racing cars, while the caseback bears an engraving of the black and white chequered flag of Formula 1 and the Red Bull Racing emblem.
